Improvement of the infrastructure
We financed the construction of a bridge over the Gau Kusch, a stream near to Katachel. The inhabitants can now reach their fields and the road between Kunduz and Khanabad.
Another advantage of the construction is that the inhabitants of Katachel had jobs as construction workers. In this way, they can earn money in a civil, peaceful way. This is an important step in the changement of consciousness to a peaceful life in Afghanistan.

Work and training for young men

There will only be real peace in Afghanistan when the young soldiers get a job to feed their family. Another important aspect is the self-confidence for these people, because those who have a job get respect in Afghanistan.
To accomplish this, our organisation is building a small shoe factory, together with GTZ. We will be able to educate 35 people, and 4 educators and 11 workers will provide continuity. After their education, the young men wil get the needed equipment, so that they'll be able to work independently in the Kunduz province.
Since 2005 they are producing tents for the schools.

2006
