Great success for Katachel e.V.
It is with great pleasure the members of the Association, the Association Katachel Email 5.UN the organizers of the World Water Forum in Istanbul read, especially as the news was very positive because Katachel Association was among the select 30 aid projects that have reached the finals of the great Kyoto Prize and have therefore been invited to Istanbul.
The UN is organized every three years by a global water conference attended by thousands of representatives of governments, universities, government organizations and charities. At the last conference, which was in Mexico City, met 12 000 men and women who reported in a variety of topics on water projects or to give information.
By the Association Katachel eV for 6 years, Dr. Sybille Schnehage participant in the conference. In 2003 she was invited as a candidate on the World Water Forum Contest, 2006 in Mexico, as Speaker and also to Istanbul, she is registered as a lecturer. Katachel addition, the Association had submitted project documentation for the advertised Kyoto Prize, and the jury has now classified the project as so persistent that the organization was invited to the final selection of the best 30 projects with presentations.
Sybille Schnehage particularly pleased about it, she stands with her work but in competition with universities and government projects, which have far greater financial resources available and generally have significantly more support from their ministries. However Katachel eV is a small volunteer-led charity, which relies on the generosity of many individuals, but which will also be bestowed with this special honor.
The moment is so much to do, the poster must be created, it must be a print shop to be found, and the discourse must be created in English and a volunteer translator from German into Turkish is still being sought. There remains only the hope that on 20 March, the jury, the project is perhaps even further classify the front of the line of candidates.
